Music and Lyrics by Drew Brody
six miles and 48 minutes have passed
since i left for a walk which has taken me down to the
water and right by the prison where people inside
live in cages much smaller than mine
i can’t believe what you’re doing to me; i can’t get you out of my head
strange how the sunlight refracts through the windshield
and heats up the car from the inside and steals all the oxygen
making me giddy and honest
miles to go and still no sign of sleep
they’re out of the gates and the bets have been placed
nothing but clear skies ahead
